About Me

Welcome to my "photoblog"! If you've made it here, then you probably have already read the "about me" at my website, so your welcome to go there to learn more about my interests as an artist. Anyway, this is my attempt at sharing my photos with others.

Over the years, I have come to realize one of the most important aspects of my intent as an artist is the influence that time has on my desire to capture temporal moments, particularly the "mood" of that experience. When I finally came to realize this (I'm a bit slow), my passion for photography made total sense to me. Photography has been a hobby of mine for most of my life. I still remember our family's old Kodak Brownie box camera and getting for Christmas my first Polaroid at about age 9. My family has some memorable photos from them as I'm sure some of you do-wish I still had those cameras!

Lately, this "hobby" has turned a corner, as I learn more about digital photography's darkroom techniques and its potential for me to create my interpretation of the mood in that fleeting moment in time. Thus, I often do post processing using mainly Adobe Lightroom 3, Photoshop CS5, as well as other software (I'll soon have a "Techniques" link for gear and software I use).

I've just begun this venture of photoblogging and still have a lot of "tweaks" to add so please bear with me. I hope you enjoy my memories captured in time. Also, please feel free to comment. Thank's for stopping by.
